SHREWSBURY, Mass. (AP) – Massachusetts authorities are investigating the death of a 39-year-old man who was pulled unconscious from Lake Quinsigamond between Worcester and Shrewsbury.

State police say Christopher Cote of Shrewsbury was found unresponsive at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday near a capsized canoe about 150 yards from shore. They say he was pronounced dead a short time later at the University of Massachusetts Hospital in Worcester.
