AUBURN – Ben French, Jesse Jarvi and Matt Lyone belted consecutive triples in the fifth inning of the nightcap to break open a close game and lift Central Maine Community College to a 9-3 and 9-4 doubleheader sweep of Hesser College in baseball action Sunday.

In the opener, Tim Edgecomb had three hits, including a double, while Alex Smith contributed two triples, a home run and five RBIs.

Lyons and Ryan Given were the winning pitchers.

CMCC swept Vermont Tech on Saturday, 6-1 and 19-3.
