JAY – The driver of a pickup truck that went off the road Friday afternoon was flown to Central Maine Medical Center, Jay police Chief Larry White said.
Dillan Bronish, 17, of Jay was injured when he failed to negotiate a turn on to Lomie Rivers Road from Macomber Hill Road. All four tires of the truck were on the right shoulder and the truck then skidded back on to the pavement, he said.
Bronish apparently over-corrected and traveled off the road to the right in a southerly direction and struck a rock wall. The vehicle then began to roll over as it re-entered the road, . landing on its roof, he said.
Two passengers in the vehicle, Brandon Hall, 16, and John Mandigo, 18, were not injured.
The 1992 GMC was a total loss. Jay Fire Department responded to the scene and assisted. The accident is still under investigation. Sgt. Troy Young is the investigating officer.
