LEWISTON – Stephen G. Fowler, 58, died Tuesday, May 5, at the Central Maine Medical Center, with his family by his side. He was a resident of Roxbury Road in Roxbury.

He was born in Rumford, on Dec. 29, 1950, a son of Daniel and Geneva (Doucette) Fowler. He was a graduate of Mexico High School. He was a self-employed contractor and an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was married in Mexico on Jan. 29, 1970 to Patricia Buotte, who survives of Roxbury. Other survivors include a son, Greg Fowler of Roxbury; a daughter, Stephanie Fowler of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; his parents, Daniel and Geneva Fowler of Rumford; two sisters, June Duhamel and husband, Jack, of Hopewell Junction and Lesley Fowler and her husband, Dan Cohen, of Waterville; and a brother, Daniel Cash and his wife, Marie, of Mexico.

He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Ann Murphy.
