AUBURN – A walk/run to benefit the Kathleen M. Whalen Fund of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice will be held on Sunday, May 17, at the Hospice House.

While at the Hospice House in 2008, Whalen noticed that there were other patients whose health insurance was not as generous as hers. Following her death, her family established the fund to assist in providing the same high quality care to those with limited health insurance.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m., and the walk/run will start at 9 a.m. The route will take participants on a 2.6-mile loop down Stetson Road along the river following North River Road then circle back to the Hospice House. At 10 a.m. a celebration of hope will be held at the Hospice House.

Event registration forms are available at the AHCH Lewiston office on Strawberry Avenue, at the Hospice House, 236 Stetson Road, Auburn or online at ahch.org. For more information, contact the AHCH Development Department at 795-9428.
