Quilters to meet

RUMFORD – Rumford Area Quilters will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 11, at Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street.

Those who wish to participate in a spring fabric swap are asked to bring six-and-a-half-inch squares cut from one yard of 100 percent cotton spring fabric that has been washed, dried and ironed.

A demonstration on how to make a pillow ruffle is planned. All area quilters are invited.

Donations of quilts will be accepted. Show and Tell is welcome. For more information, call 562-7050.

Lodge meeting

RUMFORD – The Gorizia Lodge 467, Sons of Italy, will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 17. All members are encouraged to attend.
