BANGOR (AP) – Bangor police have arrested a 21-year-old man suspected of robbing the Bank of America branch on Union Street.

Investigators say a young man walked into the bank at about 9:10 a.m. Thursday, demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was displayed. Police say Troy Gay of Greenbush was taken into custody about four hours later. Gay is being held at the Penobscot County Jail on a robbery charge.

Police say cash has been recovered.
