WATERVILLE (AP) – The University of Maine at Farmington is taking steps to guard against swine flu at Saturday’s graduation ceremonies.

Graduates are being asked to stop at a table and apply hand sanitizer before they go on stage to get their diplomas at the commencement ceremonies.

But a school official now says that University President Theodora Kalikow won’t wear a glove as previously planned as a precautionary measure while shaking graduates’ hands.

The school has 468 students in its graduating class.
