NORWAY – Western Maine Health Vice President of Clinical Service M. Patricia Cook has announced that five employees of Western Maine Health have been awarded scholarships for further education by the Stephens Volunteer Services.
Scholarship recipients for the spring are Maria Dingley, Market Square Health Care Center, pursuing an associate degree in nursing; Kim DeSanctis, Stephens Memorial Hospital, bachelor of science in nursing; Brittney Brown, Stephens Memorial Hospital, associate degree in nursing; Kris Jenna Gonzalez, bachelor’s degree in nursing; Lisa Heald, bachelor’s/master’s degree in nursing; Lynda Smart, associate degree in nursing; and Carol Welsh, nursing continuing education.
Stephens Volunteer Services awards scholarships twice a year after reviewing the applications of eligible employees. The Scholarship Committee has awarded $6,500 in scholarships every year to employees for job-related education.
