BANGOR (AP) – A 48-year-old Millinocket man who pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography has been taken into custody while he awaits sentencing.

Philip Scott Fournier entered his plea Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Bangor.

According to court records, Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers searched Fournier’s home and computer after receiving information in 2006 that his credit card was being used to buy access to a child pornography Web site.

Fournier allowed the officers to enter the home and gave written permission for the search.

Possession of child pornography carries a maximum sentence of 10 years and a fine of up to $250,000.
