Almost every day there is upsetting news about police officers and other law enforcement officers getting killed or injured in the line of duty, trying to protect people from those who would harm others. The killings are like a form of cancer that needs to be cured.

There needs to be a solution found to prevent the senseless attacks on officers, who put their lives on the line, 24 hours a day, to protect the public. They continue to be vulnerable to sniper attacks, premeditated attacks and off-duty attacks. Will they need full-body armor for protection?

Enough is enough. Too many officers have sacrificed their lives already.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to all law enforcement officers for putting their lives on the line, and my sincere condolences to the families of officers who have lost their lives.
