Camp Connor opening for 43rd season
POLAND – Camp Connor, a summer day camp owned and operated by the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA for youngsters age 6 to 13, will open for the 43rd season.
The camp is located on secluded Lower Range Pond. Combined with a large playing field, beach, wooded areas, adventure island and a main lodge, Camp Connor offers a natural environment for campers.
The YMCA provides daily transportation to and from the camp at designated pick-up and drop-off points in the Lewiston and Auburn area.
Camp activities include archery, arts and crafts, boats and canoes, field trips, nature walks, overnights, youth sports, team building, swim lessons, free swim, theme weeks and special events.
Camp Connor will again be directed by Chris Shea, assisted by Louise Tirabassi. It will begin the week of June 22, and campers can sign up for any number of individual weeks or sign up for the entire summer (nine weeks). Enrollment is limited.
