GEORGETOWN — The wedding of Erica Ann McDonald and James William Melnichok was held on Sept. 27 at the Mooring Bed and Breakfast in Georgetown. Edwin H. Pert, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Melnichok is the daughter of Nancy McDonald of Lewiston. Mr. Melnichok is the son of Thomas and Charlotte Melnichok of Oakland.
The bride was given in marriage by her mother. Chantelle Landry, high school friend, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Brooke Ford, Sarah Tormey and Christa Zaldivar, friends.
Serving as best man for the bridegroom was a high school friend, Matthew Fontaine. Ushers were Thomas “Chris” Melnichok, brother of the bridegroom, and Jeremy Claytore, Richard Girtain and Matthew Salmonsen, friends.
A reception followed at the Mooring, after which the couple traveled to Rome, Florence and Tuscany in Italy.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2002 graduate of Hobart and William Smith College with a bachelor’s degree. She is currently working toward her master’s degree in library science at Pratt Institute. She is employed at Random Publishers in New York City.
The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Messalonskee High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree. He is employed with the Berman Group, a specialized public relations and marketing firm in New York City.
