LEWISTON – A Wilton man who, police say, was about to be arrested on May 11 when he fled, was arrested early Friday afternoon at his mother’s home in Lewiston.
Police searched for Stephen Demings, 21, last week and received numerous tips about him, said Police Chief Dennis Brown.
Lewiston police were asked to check his mother’s home at 127 Bates St., said Lt. Mark Cornelio, public information officer for the Lewiston department.
Police were told he was not there but they searched the home, found him and arrested him on a probation hold, Cornelio said.
