Arrests and summonses
May 11 – Matheau Wilson, 32, of Rumford was ordered to court by Patrolman K. Scott Mills on charges of operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating without insurance and illegal attachment of plates for an incident on May 2. Wilson is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 4.
May 11 – 4:28 p.m., Richard Stickney, 26, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman K. Scott Mills on charges of failure to report accident by quickest means and violation of conditions of release. Stickney is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 4.
May 11 – 10:06 p.m., Randy Bennett, 19, of Rumford was ordered to court by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bennett is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on July 7.
May 12 – 1:45 p.m., Merton Pinkham, 41, of Rumford was arrested by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on charges of burglary and violation conditions of release. Pinkham was transported to the Oxford County Jail and later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of criminal trespass. The other charge was dismissed.
May 14 – 12:08 p.m., Jarrett Buono, 37, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Donald Miller on a charge of violation of a protection order. Buono posted $1,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on July 7.
May 14 – 9:10 p.m., Jennifer Welch, 28, of Mexico was ordered to court by Patrolman Ian Theriault on a charge of possession of a useable amount of marijuana. Welch is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on July 7.
May 16 – 11:24 a.m., Stanley Dennison, 40, of Rumford was arrested by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on a charge of assault. Dennison was also ordered to court on charges of possession of a useable amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dennison was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in South Paris on Aug. 13.
May 17 – 4:02 a.m., Peter Grasruck, 42, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on a charge of domestic violence assault. Grasruck is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on July 7.
Burglary
May 10 – 4:16 p.m., an Erchles Street resident reporting someone broke into his or her residence while he or she was away camping. It was learned that the victim’s estranged son had entered the residence and eaten food, watched television and taken a bottle of wine. Victim opted to handle the incident without law enforcement.
May 13 – 9:41 a.m, a Hancock Street business reporting someone attempted to forcibly break into the front door. Entry wasn’t successful with damages to the front door estimated at $100. Incident under investigation.
Crash
May 14 – 9:45 a.m., a 2001 Mercury Cougar owned by Cerese Richardson, 23, of Rumford was parked at the back parking lot of Rumford Hospital when the vehicle came out of gear, rolled between two parked cars and went over an embankment. There was approximately $4,000 damage to the front and underside of the vehicle.
Theft
May 10 – 6:53 p.m., a Maple Street resident reported the theft of a cane off his front lane. The cane was located down the street by the victim. Incident under investigation with no value on the cane.
May 11 – 10:01 p.m., a Rumford resident reporting the theft of a laptop out of his vehicle parked at Mountain Valley High School. Incident under investigation and laptop value listed at $1,500.
May 11 – 10:28 p.m., a Rumford resident reported the theft of a laptop, backpack and more out of his vehicle parked at Mountain Valley High School. Incident under investigation and value of items lost is listed at $1,740.
May 11 – 10:28 p.m., a Rumford business reporting a shoplifter stealing a bottle of vodka and a can of cooking spray. Charges are pending and the value of items lost is listed at $20.
Wanted
Daniel Johnson, 41, of Rumford/Virginia is wanted on multiple warrants for unpaid fines and operating after suspension.
