LITCHFIELD – Petal Pushers Garden Place, 229 Maxwell Road, has recently opened. Owner Lynn LeClair will hold a grand opening on May 22 through May 25 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day.

The business is located on more than 100 acres of beautiful woodland. Visitors can walk the nature trail and admire the beautiful surroundings while children are challenged to a treasure hunt on the trail. There are numerous native plants and wildflowers to see, many of which are labeled for ease of identification. The nature trail runs along a natural brook bordered by many native plants and luscious scenery.

Petal Pushers offers a wide variety of plants – annuals, hanging baskets, woodland plants, houseplants and perennials – as well as seeds LeClair has collected from her gardens, commercial growers, friends and family. Garden/plant accessories, handmade on site and by local artisans, are also available.

Petal Pushers provides flower arrangements for banquets, restaurants, small weddings and custom deliveries.

LeClair plans to offer events such as perennial swaps, house plant swaps, wreath-making classes and wildflower/native plant identification walks. To be included on upcoming event notifications, e-mail LeClair at [email protected]
