LEWISTON – St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion, a 210-bed, long-term care facility in Lewiston, has earned the Maine Health Care Association’s Quality Improvement Award. The award recognizes long-term care facilities that have made quality improvement and culture-based advances in caregiving. To receive the award, facilities must first complete a voluntary quality improvement accreditation process and then demonstrate quality improvement-driven achievements in each area of staff retention, consistent assignment, clinical quality measures and customer satisfaction. The award builds upon the statewide MHCA accreditation process that promotes the development of systematic ways to continually improve long-term care facility quality and increase staff retention.
d’Youville received a commemorative award, which it can display to show the community its commitment to providing quality long-term care.
d’Youville is one of only three long-term care providers in the state to earn this distinction this year from MHCA, a nonprofit trade organization representing 250 long-term care facilities across in Maine.
