RUMFORD – A funeral Mass for Edna M. Aleck of Mexico was celebrated Thursday at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St John Church with the Rev. James Martel as celebrant. Altar assistant was George Gionet and organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections were “You Raise Me Up,” “Be Not Afraid,” “Ave Maria,” “J’irai la Voir un Jour” and “Amazing Grace.” Readings were given by Kayla Bartlett, Megan Aleck, Wendi Bradbury and Jennifer Nunes. Eulogy was given by Julie Steward, and a poem was read by Brenda Austin. Pallbearers were Sheriff Wayne Gallant, Alger Aleck, Chuck Aleck, Tom Papsadora, Matthew Papsadora and Stephen Austin. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Martel. Interment was at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. A reception followed in the Parish hall of the church. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home.
