LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on May 18 with 31 members and a guest, Diane Pelletier, present.

Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for deceased members and for the men and women in the armed forces.

It was reported that Ruth Labrecque, member, died last week. Aurelien Couture was reported on the sick list following surgery. Doris DeMillo is at the Hospice House in Auburn.

SeniorsPlus is now located in the Masonic Lodge in Wilton. During the summer Couture will have a supply of meal vouchers for anyone wanting to purchase them.

It was voted to give $100 to the Friends Together Club. “Happy Birthday” was sung to those celebrating birthdays in May.

George Doiron led the group in singing “This Land is my Land” and “God Bless America” in honor of Memorial Day.

A successful Chinese Auction was held following the meeting.

It was the last meeting until Monday, Sept. 14, when there will be a casserole meal, where everyone is asked to bring something for the table.

The meeting was adjourned for the summer and games and cards were played.
