DOVER, N.H. (AP) — The untimely deaths of two young adults in April have been ruled drug overdoses by the New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police are still awaiting the toxicology results of a third death.

Foster’s Daily Democrat reports that 20-year-old Whitney Lizotte died from an accidental overdose of methadone, Klonopin and alcohol. The autopsy report for her roommate, 22-year-old Brandy Sewall, has not been finalized.

Police said the deaths are related because the roommates were together at their Rochester apartment the evening of April 20 into the morning of April 21. Both died at different locations.

In the third case, 19-year-old Matthew Rix Jr. of South Berwick, Maine, was found dead the morning of April 22 in a Dover boarding house. Rix died of an accidental overdose of the painkiller fentanyl.
