PARIS – The worship service at the First Universalist Church, Pine Street, will be led by Sharon Bouchard on Sunday, May 31. The title of Bouchard’s 10 a.m. sermon will be “They Speak To Us.”

Music is under the direction of Forest Perkins, with Linda Stowell as guest pianist. The Sunday school program is under the direction of Renee Wales. Coffee and fellowship will follow the worship service. All are welcome and child care is available.

Oxen pulling

OXFORD – The Pine Tree Steer and Ox Association steer and ox pulling will be held Friday to Sunday, June 5 to 7, at the Oxford Fairgrounds. There will be 18 classes of ox pulling, and everyone is welcome.

There will be three classes at 6 p.m. Friday; Saturday pulling all day starting at 9 a.m.; and Sunday 8 a.m. with five classes. Admission is $5 a day; 18 and under, free.
