WEST GARDINER – Miss Sophie Pidacks, 87, of Livermore, died Wednesday, May 27, in West Gardiner.
She was born in Rumford, on Feb. 8, 1922, the daughter of Stanley and Stella (Urbonavicike) Puidokas.
She graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford and LaSalle College, Newton, Mass.
She taught home economics in the Boston public school system for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include a brother, Charles Pidacks and wife, Sylvia, of Ashland, Mass.; 11 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Pidacks.
