Craft fair
HARRISON — Twin Bridges Pentecostal Church will hold a craft fair and yard sale from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at the corner of Plains Road and Route 117. Crafter who would like to rent a space should call Cher at 539-4325.
Church supper
PARIS — The First Baptist Church of Paris, Paris Hill, will have an old-fashioned bean supper at the church at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 6. The menu will include baked beans, brown bread, rolls, salads, hot dogs, casseroles, desserts, coffee, punch and tea. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children age 12 and under.
Grange meeting
SOUTH WATERFORD —Bear Mt. Grange will host a special meeting at the hall on Routes 35 and 37 on Monday, June 8. Sawin Millett will be guest speaker on his role as a legislator. The time is 6 p.m., with a potluck supper followed by the program at 7. Everyone is welcome.
Society to meet
WATERFORD — The first meeting of the season for the Waterford Historical Society will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at the Old Town House beside Keoka Lake.
At the annual meeting nominations will be taken from the floor for new trustees. All are welcome. There will be potluck refreshments.
The program will be on the South Waterford Carding Mill, which is now at Old Sturbridge Village. In addition, the society will be updated on the work of the Friends of City Brook and hear about some of the many mills that were located along the brook in the past three centuries.
 Square dance
PARIS — The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club will have a dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Oxford Hills Middle School, Pine Street, South Paris.
George McGibbon will call mainstream, alternating with plus level, and Bernie Porter will cue the round dancing. Refreshments will be served at intermission. Admission is $6 a person. However, nondancers are invited to watch at no charge.

Rotary auction
BETHEL — The Rotary Club of Bethel will hold its annual auction and yard sale on Saturday, June 27, at Telstar Regional High School. The yard sale will begin at 8 a.m. and the auction preview will be at 5:30 p.m. with the auction starting at 6:30. Individuals wishing to donate items to the auction may call 875-2364 for pickup.
Daughters meet
STONEHAM — The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865 met on May 27 at the K of P Hall. The charter was draped in memory of the past national president, Mary Evelyn Petry.
Carnations were placed on the altar in memory of departed members of Hannah F. Richardson Tent 19. Mary Jones was installed as secretary/treasurer by President Gail Butterfield.
There will be no meeting of Tent 19 in June; however, the state convention will be held in Waterville on Friday, June 26. New officers will be installed this year.
