SABATTUS – Jeannette P. Bonenfant, 90, of 368 Crowley Road, Sabattus, passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday, May 31, with her husband by her side. On April 19, 1949, she married Marcel A. Bonenfant, a local commercial photographer, at Saints Peter and Paul Church. They summered in Maine with their children, grandchildren, and families.

Jeannette and Marcel moved back to the area in 2007 to be near their family. A lover of the outdoors, she hiked in Acadia National Park well into her 70s. She was happiest when surrounded by her family; talking, playing cards and watching Red Sox baseball.

Bonenfant, of Sabattus, two sons, Paul and wife Lisa Bonenfant of Auburn, and Jerry Bonenfant of Sabattus, two sisters, Alfreda Paradis of Lewiston, and Georgette Sweat and husband John of Stewart, Fla., three brothers, Wilfred Paradis of Lewiston, Robert Paradis and wife Marion of LaTuque, Canada, and Gerard Paradis of Cape Canaveral, Fla., four grandchildren, Aimee (Bonenfant) Maheux and husband Christopher of Lewiston, Michelle (Bonenfant) Wheeler and husband Matthew of Lisbon Falls, Danielle Bonenfant of Portland, and Bryan Bonenfant of Auburn, and two great-grandchildren, Noah and Aidan Maheux of Lewiston.
