MEXICO – The following incidents were handled recently by the Mexico Police Department.
Burglaries
Two burglaries of vehicles parked in the driveways of Osgood Avenue residents are believed to be related, Sgt. Roy Hodsdon said. At 10:52 p.m. June 2, two males were seen entering two unlocked vehicles. It is not yet known whether anything was taken. At 11:19 a.m., June 3, another Osgood Avenue resident reported that someone had entered his vehicle the night before and had taken an undisclosed amount of cash and a harmonica. Police said they have suspects.
Vandalism
A Rumford resident reported at 3:17 p.m. May 31 that someone had kicked in the door and broken the exterior rearview mirror of her vehicle while it was parked on Osgood Avenue, causing about $500 damage. Police have a suspect.
A Harlow Hill resident reported at 8:19 p.m., May 20, that someone threw a beer bottle through a front window, causing about $100 damage. Police have leads.
