TAUNTON, Mass. (AP) – Taunton police have recovered the body of a man who fell into the Taunton River from a railroad trestle.

Police say the accident occurred Saturday night. The body was recovered Sunday afternoon. Police say the 39-year-old man was sitting on the trestle and apparently fell as he tried to stand up.

Police have not released the victim’s identity.
