HARTFORD – Polls will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, at the Town Hall for the town to elect a selectman and a road commissioner as well as to vote on the regional school budget referendum.
Selectman Lee Holman is running for re-election for a three-year term. Holman is the only nominee.
Road Commissioner Jeremy Johnson is running for re-election and is being opposed by Lisa Renaud-Walton.
Johnson has been elected twice for a one year term, but this year the term has been changed to a two year term.
The RSU 10 budget for the Western Foothills Schools was approved Thursday night. The 12-town district has been authorized to spend $34.1 million for 2009-10. Residents of the 12 towns will be voting on Tuesday to make a final decision on the budget.
The annual town meeting will follow Tuesday’s election at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
