Singers will lift their voices to raise funds for festival
LEWISTON — The vocal ensemble Just Us will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at the Franco-American Heritage Center at a benefit concert for the fourth annual Festival FrancoFun.
Just Us was the first group to perform at the Franco-American Heritage Center in a Christmas concert fundraiser for the Festival de Joie, a long-standing Franco-American festival dissolved in 2005. This year, Just Us will again perform to benefit Festival FrancoFun, scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 19-21.   
The group will perform a variety of musical numbers, including “Dancing Queen,”  “Sentimental Journey,” “Climb Every Mountain,” “Sweet Caroline” and “Spanish Harlem.”
Just Us is make up of Anita Deschenes, Madeleine Leblanc, Melissa Noel, Debbie Poulin, Lorraine Giasson, Sue Rouleau, Joanne Cook, Jackie Asselin, Doris Surette, Connie Lambert, Rose Fredericks, Ray Berube, Jeremy Gervais, Bob Meservier, Mike Barrett, Norm Laplante, Paul Jalbert, Don Gosselin, Marcel St. Pierre and Chuck Cook, with Nel Meservier as accompanist. 
Just Us has a motto: “If it’s not fun, we won’t do it.”
