AUBURN – Sgt. Norman Voter was awarded the Maine Army National Guard Honor Guard Badge for his service in the Maine Military Honors Program.
Voter has performed 323 military funeral honors for Maine veterans. The honors program was established in 2003 to support the great need to honor Maine’s passing veterans. To date, the team has performed more than 3,750 military funeral honors ceremonies.
Voter is a graduate of Mountain Valley High School in Rumford. In 2004, he deployed to Iraq with C Company of the 133rd Engineer Battalion in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is also a plumber and pipe-fitter in the 136th Engineer Company, Maine Army National Guard in Lewiston.
Voter resides in Auburn with his wife Jessica.
