Bill Perry, owner of airport operator Maine Instrument Flight, likened the accident to “a fender-bender” and said no one was hurt. Perry told the Kennebec Journal that the four-seater Beechcraft Sierra was on a training flight with a pilot and a student when it landed with its gear up shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

He said federal authorities had to give clearance to remove the plane from the runway.
