Chelsea R. Plourde of Poland graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology (NY) with a bachelor’s degree in microelectronic engineering on May 23.
Plourde studied at RIT’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering. She was co-authored on three research papers relating to work completed on during her co-operative education requirements. Plourde traveled to Belgium where she resided for six month working at the Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre, researching III-V semiconductors.
Plourde is employed as a research associate for the Nano-Power Research Lab in Rochester, N.Y., researching solar energy. She is the daughter of Roland and Carol Plourde of Poland and the granddaughter of Eugene Stevens of Lewiston and Gaston and Irene Plourde of Auburn. Plourde is a 2004 graduate of Poland Regional High School.
