LEWISTON – Jeffrey A. Baker, 50, of Lewiston died Wednesday, June 10, unexpectedly at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 14, 1958, the son of the late William H. Baker Jr. and the former Frances Donovan. He graduated from Eagles High School in Maryland. He then joined the U.S. Army serving for three years in the 101st Airborne Division.

On April 7, 1984, he married Tina Sprague, who survives him of Lewiston. In 1979, he joined the Lewiston Police Department as a patrol officer. He currently was employed at Sabre Yachts as vice president of Human Resources. His interests included motorcycling, camping trips, amusement parks, lounging around the pool, avid golfer, taking trips to the tropics, and grilling on the barbecue.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Amanda Johnson and her husband, Craig, of Auburn and Karlye Baker of Lewiston; two sons, Jason Baker and his wife, Emily, of Harrison and Jeremy Baker and his wife, Kate, of Waterford; one brother, William H. Baker III of Lewiston; two grandchildren, Aiden and Leah; and many good friends.
