NORWAY – Linda Gifford, DO, and Allan Reis, MD, of Western Maine Family Practice, have earned a three-year recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance through the Diabetes Physician Recognition Program.

The staff physicians at Stephens Memorial Hospital have the opportunity to have the NCQA submit their clinical quality data to Medicare for use in the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative.

To qualify, physicians need to document and submit performance data on several dimensions of diabetes care that demonstrates that their data meets the program’s care measures.
