KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (AP) – Police have arrested a man suspected of raping a North Carolina woman in her home after authorities say the victim’s husband arranged the attack on Craigslist.

Kannapolis police said Saturday the online classified service helped them find 39-year-old Rodney Liverman Sr.

Liverman was arrested at his Norwood home Friday. He is charged with first-degree rape and remains in jail on a $250,000 bond.

Police Capt. Chuck Adams says the U.S. Secret Service also helped track Liverman.

Adams says he doesn’t know if Liverman has an attorney and a phone listing could not be found.

Authorities say the man arranged to have Liverman attack his wife while he watched on May 31.

The Associated Press is not naming the man to avoid identifying his wife.
