CLT readies for children’s summer theater
AUBURN — Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre’s Summer Theater Program will present “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr.” Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 8-9.
The program is geared to children in grades 2 through 8 who enjoy and want to learn more about music theater.
King’s Bridge Theatre Artistic Director Robbi Starnegg will direct the play.
From June 22 to Aug. 9, those registered in the program can take part in workshops offering an introduction to theater, theater games, improvisation, scene work, audition preparation, choreography and rehearsal technique.
Participating in introductory and audition workshop sessions, June 22-25, is recommended for those hoping to be in “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr.” Those who cannot commit to the August performances will still be allowed to participate in all introductory and workshop sessions.
Roles for “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr.” will be cast from audition workshop participants.
