LEWISTON – Pamela Salley Caron, 54, of Lewiston, passed away unexpectedly on June 15 at Central Maine Medical Center.

Pam was born in Bangor on April 14, 1955. She was the daughter of Walter Salley and Claire Salley Wallace. She graduated from Monmouth Academy in 1973.

She worked for many years as intake coordinator for the Saint Francis House of Catholic Charities of Maine, touching the lives of many who battled addiction.

Pam had a devoted love for her deceased dogs, Susie, and later Taffy Sue. She also had a strong compassion for homeless cats.

Pam is survived by her beloved sister, Kathleen and her husband, Ed Merrill, of Monmouth; niece, Britney; nephews, Jamie, Bobby and Tyler; great-nephew, David; many close cousins, dear friends and life-long companions, Nelson Caron and Tom Landers.

Pam was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Claire, and brothers; Douglas, David and twin, Peter.
