MANTECA, CALIF. – Hermance (Legere) Page, 84, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Manteca, Calif., on April 16.

She was born in Lewiston on Feb. 18, 1925. As a young woman, she worked in the shipyards and shoe factories.

She married Herbert M. Page Jr. on Aug. 9, 1958. They traveled extensively with the Marine Corps, settling down in Lewiston. They were married 44 years until Mr. Page’s passing on Oct. 31, 2002.

She was a charter member and past president of Emblem Club No. 528. In 2004, she sold her home in Lewiston and moved to Leesburg, Fla. The last year and a half, she lived in Manteca, Calif., with her daughter and granddaughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen; her granddaughter, Erin; sister, Irene (Legere) Charpentier; aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband; parents; and two sisters, Yvonne and Georgette.

Mrs. Page, fondly known as “Tiny,” will be remembered by her hospitality in her home. Everyone always came to Tiny’s house to celebrate different occasions or just to hang out in her kitchen. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
