AUBURN – The Timothy J. Mynahan Foundation has announced the TJM Scholarship recipient for 2009. The $2,500 scholarship has been awarded to Emily Dodge, a graduate of Edward Little High School.

Criteria for selection of the scholarship are based on academic and athletic excellence and commendable leadership ability.

Dodge is a varsity athlete who has exhibited extraordinary athletic ability in both indoor and outdoor track and field. As captain of both teams, she achieved notable athletic and leadership excellence. She further distinguished herself by being named to the KVAC All-Academic and KVAC All-Star teams, as well as capturing the state championship title in hurdles, triple jump and long jump.

Dodge has illustrated academic excellence throughout her high school years. She has been the recipient of the Academic Excellence Award, AP Scholar Distinction Award, Yale Book Award, French Award and Leadership Award. She is a member and Vice President of the National Honor Society, member of the Class of 2009 Executive Board and council member for the mentor program. She has demonstrated a sense of community through volunteer work for the summer recreation track program.

Dodge will attend Middlebury College in Vermont in the fall.
