The United States needs to change its foreign policy. How
arrogant to think that we should police the world. How arrogant to think we
should bomb countries that don’t do what we say. How arrogant to spread
democracy by force.

Arrogance is the key word because that is the
government’s attitude when dealing with issues overseas.

How can we go
after poverty ridden countries such as Iraq and treat it as if it were Nazi
Germany?

According to Internet sources, the U.S. sends more a trillion
dollars a year overseas and has a presence in more than 100 countries. When will
it be enough? Maybe when the nation is bankrupt and looks foolish for trying to
create a world government.

It is time to stop and a new policy needs to
start, now. Obama’s administration needs to get some courage and end the
intervention overseas. It is the advice of the founding fathers, but above all,
common sense.

The United States has not gone into a war with a legal
declaration since World War II. Since then, more than 100,000 lives have been
lost, the nation has gone into debt, and people have lost many cherished
liberties.

The nation’s economy is hurting. We need to take care of
ourselves and leave those other countries alone.

I am sick and tired of
this mess. Some day it’s going to come back to haunt us. It’s just a matter of
time.
