Raymond L. Wing
1955 – 2009
AUBURN — Raymond LaRochelle Wing, 54, of 70 Blake St. Towers, Lewiston, died June 21, at the Hospice House, surrounded by his family, after a year-long battle with cancer.
Ray was born in Lewiston at Central Maine Medical Center on April 12, 1955. He attended schools in Lisbon and joined the Marines in June 1972. He married Victora Swan Green and had two children, Jamie and Joey Wing.
His interests were fishing, going to the car races and getting together with his large family. He was an animal lover and loved his big dog, Dagger and his cat, Menou, as well as feeding the birds and squirrels.
He was proud of serving in the Marines and fighting for our country and freedom. He was a member of the Pine Tree Warriors in Lewiston and worked hard all his life.
He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Wing and son, Joey Wing; two brothers, Daniel and David LaRochelle; four sisters, Donna Luong, Christine Snyder, Cathy Dionne and Rebecca Shedd; two grandchildren, Lindsey and Devin; and aunts, Rita Gagnon, Jean Corriveau, Shirley LaRochelle and Charlene Partridge.
He was predeceased by his mother, Theresa A. White; and father, Donald J. LaRochelle.
