PARIS – “Be Creative!” is the theme for this year’s summer reading program at the Hamlin Memorial Library.
To celebrate creativity, staff will offer materials and basic lessons for the following crafts throughout the summer: knitting and crocheting, origami and kirigami, and mosaics and collages. Visit the library at any time this summer to participate in the activities. Skilled crafter are invited to visit the library to share their skills.
Children of all ages are invited to participate in the summer reading challenge. Those who read for 500 minutes over the course of the summer will receive a free book of their choosing.
All children will be awarded a free ticket to a Portland Sea Dogs game just for signing up for the summer reading program.
The Hamlin library is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. For more information, call 743-2980 or e-mail [email protected]
