Allen R. Blodgett
1947 – 2009
PORTLAND — Allen R. Blodgett, 62, of Weld, died unexpectedly early Wednesday, June 24, at Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Weld, Jan. 14, 1947, a son of Raynold Blodgett and Evelyn Blodgett Hutchinson and was a 1965 graduate of Wilton Academy. He proudly served his country as a member of the U. S. Air Force for 21 years.
After retirement from the Air Force, he went to work at International Paper Co., now Verso. He loved fishing and his two weeks long vacation every year at hunting camp with his friends and family. He was a member of King Hiram Masonic Lodge of Weld. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Donna of Weld; his daughter, Milissa Cousins and her husband, Louis and their children, Dustyn Blodgett, Issac Cousins, Dylan Cousins, Rose Cousins and her daughter, Hayley Allen, all of Farmington; daughter, Christine Blodgett and her fiancé, Scott Collins, and their children, Kasey Blodgett, Chelsea Fortier and Sarah Collins, all of Jay; April Blodgett and her friend, Robert Cook and their daughter, Katrina Cook, all of Jay; brother, Norman Blodgett and his wife, Linda, of Weld, and their children; stepbrother, Wayne Hutchinson and his son, and wife, all of Georgia.
He was predeceased by his mother; father; stepfather, Ernest Hutchinson; brothers, Charlie and Raynold Blodgett; and his sister, Joyce Gabriel.
