Richard R. Secord
1929 – 2009
LEWISTON — Richard R. Secord, 80, of 70 Blake St., Lewiston, died Tuesday, June 23, at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Westbrook, on March 2, 1929, the son of Clyde Sr. and Isa Wyman Secord. Educated in Westbrook schools, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps and after his service went to work as a bus driver for Hudson Bus Lines of Lewiston.
He had a life-long love of country music and was a talented singer, guitarist and songwriter.
Survivors include his companion of 45 years, Sharon Kilton of Lewiston; a son, Buddy Secord of Lewiston; two daughters, Cathy and husband, Terrence Munroe, of Westbrook and Dianne and husband, Allan Howard, of Windham; two brothers, Clyde Secord Jr. of Windham and Robert Secord of Westbrook; two sisters, Berthe Drew and Barbara Spaulding, both of Westbrook; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
