AUBURN — Members of the St. Dominic Regional High School golf and competition cheerleading teams, along with the coaches, were invited to the State House in Augusta on May 12.
Sen. Peggy Rotundo and Rep. Mike Beaulieu introduced the students to the members of the House of Representatives, recognizing the teams for winning the high school State Class C Championships. Beaulieu gave the athletes a tour of the State House.
The students concluded the afternoon with a visit to Gov. Baldacci’s office. He congratulated both teams on their successful seasons. Baldacci presented the captains of both teams with official Maine State golf balls and students presented him with a St. Dom’s fleece vest.
