Lawrence E. Hall
1938 – 2009
LEWISTON — Lawrence E. Hall died in Lewiston on May 12.
He was born Aug. 31, 1938, a longtime resident of the Rangeley area.
Larry lived on Toothaker island, Mooselookmeguntic Lake, where he built and lived his dream. He was a lifelong ocean sailor, homesteader, builder, accountant, bicyclist, XC skier, sports fan, father and loving husband.
He touched the lives of many and was loved by all.
He was a former board member of the library and the XC ski club. He performed in musicals for the RFA. He lived his life to the fullest and left it suddenly after a short battle.
He grew up in Waltham, Mass., and Tallahassee, Fla. He first came to Rangeley in 1980 and began living here year round in 1984.
He is survived by two brothers; a sister; his wife; and two children.
