SEBAGO – The Schoolhouse Arts Center will present “Oklahoma!,” featuring music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, from July 9 through July 26.
“Oklahoma!” is set in a Western Indian territory just after the turn of the century. The high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the background against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story. With these two headstrong romantics holding the reins, the road to true love never runs smooth.
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and at 5 p.m. Sunday.
