Murky, high waters inch up the banks of the Sandy River north of
Center Bridge in Farmington Monday. The Sandy River comes up quickly and
goes down quickly, said Tim Hardy, Franklin County Emergency Management
director. He was not aware of any real flooding early Monday afternoon
and hoped as long as there are no more heavy rains, it would be all
right. Those in flood- prone areas should be aware how quickly it can
change, he said. The river has been running excessively high all
weekend.
