NORWAY — Lawrence Pierce, director of pharmacy at Stephens Memorial
Hospital, has earned a doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University
of Washington.
The announcement was made by Maine Health Vice President of Clinical Services, M. Patricia Cook.
Pierce has been a pharmacist for more than 30 years, employed at SMH since September 2001; and director of pharmacy since 2003. He has been working toward his degree since 2005, a feat that included weekend workshop classes in Seattle, projects and online course work. He is also a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and board certified in nutrition support.
Pierce lives in Scarborough with his wife.
