PITTSFIELD, Maine (AP) – Peter Cianchette, a former Republican candidate for Maine’s governorship who ended his term as the U.S. ambassador to Costa Rica a few weeks ago, has rejoined the Cianbro construction company founded by his family.
Cianbro Chairman and CEO Peter Vigue announced Wednesday that Cianchette, who worked at the company as a youth, will serve as vice president of business development.
The company’s headquarters are in Pittsfield.
Cianchette’s father is chairman emeritus of the Cianbro board of directors.
Cianchette told the Bangor Daily News his ambassadorship had been an honor and privilege.
