LEWISTON — The wedding of Ashley Rose Whalen and Bradley Scott Edwards was held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 11 at Holy Family Church in Lewiston. The Rev. Nathan March officiated at the ceremony.
A reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn, after which the couple honeymooned in Florida and the Bahamas.
Mrs. Edwards is the daughter of Jim and Diane Whalen of Lewiston. Mr. Edwards is the son of Scott and Debbie Edwards of North Haverhill, Mass.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless satin gown with a scalloped lace bodice accented with a bow and an A-line pick up skirt with a Cathedral length train. She carried a bouquet of red roses.
Allison Whalen, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Julia Ustach, Meghan Pelletier, Sarah Methvin and Sarah Silsby, all friends of the bride. Catherine Putnam, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Nick Edwards, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Brian Powers, Eric Anderson, Matt Ackermen and Matt Morin, all friends of the bridegroom.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a master’s degree in nutrition. She is employed as a registered dietitian at Central Maine Bariatric Surgery.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Woodsville High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in construction management technology. He is employed at Community Concepts.
